Together with our stakeholders and collaborators, we develop holistic hospitality projects that bring authentic local cultural and culinary movements into a relevant contemporary global context.
During their tenure at Adjara Group Hospitality from 2010 to 2020 and ROOMS Holding in 2023 and 2024, Valeri Chekheria and Levan Berulava were instrumental in the company's remarkable success and in the elevation of Georgia's hospitality sector.
As CEO and Managing Director, respectively, Valeri and Levan oversaw the launch and management of iconic places—not just hotels but cultural hubs that revitalized their neighborhoods and set new standards in the region and beyond. Their initiatives stimulated and diversified the Georgian economy by supporting local farmers, artists, artisans and producers, feeding a vibrant ecosystem that drew global recognition and investment.

At Slowness, Valeri Chekheria as Director Strategic Projects and Levan Berulava as Director Hospitality Culture spearheaded innovative hospitality across several countries. Working with founder Claus Sendinger, a hospitality pioneer whose previous companies include the world's first boutique hotel marketing consortium, Design Hotels, they developed places marked by a commitment to sustainable practices and local cultural integration.
Both through Slowness and through their independent consultancy Salt, Valeri and Levan engaged in high-profile advisory projects in New York, namely collaborated with renowned hotelier Andre Balazs, applying their expertise in planning and pre-opening strategies, and working with Gabriel Katz on Pocketbook, an ambitious hospitality project set in an immense landmarked brickworks in Hudson, opened in 2025.
Under Valeri and Levan's management, Adjara Group Hospitality consistently supported cultural development in Georgia, working with many of the country's major arts festivals as the main hospitality partner. In addition, they helped organize and host numerous high-profile cultural events, artistic performances, and exhibitions to help enrich the cultural space in Georgia and raise global awareness of both the brand and the country at large.
